As we prepare for our US roadshow and other campaigns, take note also of two mobile industry competitions that are still open to submissions from start-ups based in Finland:

Peer Awards 2010

The competition is arranged by MobileMonday in conjunction with its Ten Year Anniversary Summit in Helsinki, 27-29 September 2010. Entry cost: none. Deadline for submission: 30 August 2010. The Finnish semi-final will be hosted by the Helsinki Chapter at Molly Malone’s Bar, 6 September 2010. Download and complete the Peer Award Entry form and send it to roger@finnmob.com and a copy to minna.sarela@mobilemonday.fi.

Mobile Excellence Awards

The Mobile Excellence Awards will be held on 6 December 2010 at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California. Entry cost: 200 USD per submission. Deadline for submission: 31 August 2010. More information and entry forms are available at the MEA site.

FinnMob is making a new tour in the US after the successful US Road Trip 2010 in the spring. The Tour includes three seperate events in late September/early October. The Tour will take you through the main events of the Fall 2010 and have everything from UI design to Investors:

It would not be too speculative to say we could have had more companies listed in NASDAQ, if our entrepreneur ecosystem was more robust.
